GRAND & RESERVE SUPREME CHAMPION!
Rosie has now been to her first show - we decided to take her to the WES Championships at Morton Morrell - this is the only show that has APHA Approved Classes. It was also the UKPHA 10th Anniversary, I've not taken a horse to this Championship show for over 5 years. Rosie was shipped off to Alan Payne (Payne Performance Horses) for 8 days show preparation!
She was up against aged mares (4 yrs plus) unfortunately, she was the only yearling paint filly there, so the aged mares and yearling class was merged so that the winner could at least gain a APHA point - (to gain a APHA point you need at least three horses in a class).
The judge absolutely loved her! Rosie was crowned Grand Champion! Something I have never seen before in this country. Its very rare for a yearling to be placed above an older horse. This just proves what quality Rosie is!
All the Paint Horses were then brought back into the arena so that the judge could choose the Champion and Reserve Champion.
Rosie was crowned Reserve Supreme Champion!
